When Storm Trysail Approached me in early 2017 to bring a new perspective to the coverage of Block Island Race Week. My first call was to Chris Love Productions. Chris and I worked together on Big Boat Series when I was subcontracted as a Producer for Degan Media. We bring together our strengths in Media Coordination, Video, and Creativity.

Over 5 days, I managed the video, photo, writers, and all the social media for the week and curated it all for a daily newsletter for release to competitors called the "The 1BI."

That's a wrap for the 27th Storm Trysail Block Island Race Week. Racing commenced on time, then the fog rolled in with a building sea breeze providing the sailors with challenging conditions to cap off a great week. Click on the image below to read this issue of the 1BI.

A slight delay in the morning let the sea breeze fill under sunny skies for three great races in Block Island Sound for the penultimate day of Block Island Race Week.Click on the image below to read this issue of the 1BI.

With just perfect wind conditions mixed with intermittent fog and sun, the RC sent the boats out on time today with many of the fleets doing a Windward-Leeward before being sent Around the Island for everyone's favorite day of race week. Click on the image below to read this issue of the 1BI.

The day began with a 3-hour delay due to fog but finally by 2 pm, the fog lifted and boats headed out for breeze-on conditions for just one race. Click on the image below to read this issue of the 1BI.

AP over A was raised at 11:30am by the Race Committee due to Wind and Fog, but that doesn't stop the sailors on Block Island from having some fun. Competitive corn hole, mudslides, and a bike race to the Mt. Gay Rum Tent. Click on the image below to read this issue of the 1BI.
