It was amazing to be back at the Rolex Big Boat Series and working with Chris Love Productions again. We built upon the successful experiences of our prior RBBS and other events to bring this unique event to the fans.
We started collaborating a month earlier and I took over the social media promotion of the event to get the buzz going on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Then throughout the event, I curated all the amazing photos, videos, and text coming off the water from the media team, sailors, and sponsors.
Lastly and new this year, we went live from the roof deck each day with a show for the finishes. Unique to the Rolex Big Boat Series is that all the competitors finish off the St. Francis Yacht Club downwind. The views of the Golden Gate framing the colorful spinnakers are spectacular and there are so many stories to tell so we used drones, GoPros, and fixed cameras to really capture the essence for the fans.
